This very small viola was built by Klaus Schlegel from Erlbach and has been with me for 30 years now. I have fond memories of his workshop, from which you have a wide view of the Vogtland. 
At that time the instrument was specially built for a musician, who unfortunately could not pay for it. The viola is full of sound and is further evidence of the high level of violin making in Markneikirchen and the surrounding area.
