A bow from the workshop of H.R. Pfretzschner (see Blog - Die PFRETZSCHNER im sächsischen Vogtland (Teil 5) - die Bogenmacher) may of course not be missing in this collection. The violin bow shown here is a masterpiece from about 1930. The octagonal pernambuco stick bears the branding above the frog seat. The ebony frog bears the Saxon royal coat of arms with lions as branding. According to the expert's report, all essential parts are genuine and belong together.
The bow weighs 57 g and its center of gravity is measured at 27.5 cm of the total length of 74.0 cm.
