This interesting violin by Georg Walter Gütter is another example of the excellent violin making art of this large family of violin makers. Georg Walter was born in Markneukirchen in 1890. He was a student of Oskar Zimmer and worked for Gärtner in Stuttgart and Siebenhühner in Zurich.

The instrument is based on the Guarneri model and stands out clearly from the other violins thanks to the red-brown lacquer. The intensely flamed maple back and the well-preserved varnish make the violin a very special "eye-catcher".
